Mighty Crow Receives ‘Recovery-Friendly Workplace’ Designation
As part of the new Ohio Recovery Friendly Workplace program launched by Governor Mike DeWine, Mighty Crow was recently recognized an Ohio Recovery Friendly Workplace. The designation is intended to identify “companies that implement recovery-friendly practices as part of their everyday operations and core values,” and is part of the Governor’s wider Recovery Ohio Initiative.
There are a number of practices and procedures that can be implemented at a business in order to receive this designation- all of them detailed here. Among the things we completed at Mighty Crow to receive our designation were:
1) Provide all employees with information on the importance of physical and mental health:
As part of our expansive wellness program at Mighty Crow, we have a compiled a Library of Physical and Mental Wellness documentation and shared with our team.
2) Include Recovery-friendly practices in your workplace for existing Employees:
In addition to the wellness program, Mighty Crow employees have a flexible work schedule, wellness reimbursements, regular community building activities and respite areas within our office.
3) Educate Leaders on Best Practices
With three PhD level social workers, two certified peers, and individuals in recovery on staff at Mighty Crow, there are countless hours of training and knowledge on these important topics within our team. This knowledge informs internal discussions, decisions and almost all of the work that we do.
When sharing the news of Mighty Crow’s designation with the team, CEO Gretchen Clark Hammond said: “We are proud to promote a culture focused on recovery here at Mighty Crow and to support our staff who are living their recovery out loud.”
Members of the Mighty Crow team would be happy to discuss our internal initiatives and the application process if that would be useful in gaining designation for your workplace. Please contact us and someone from our team will be in touch!
