January Observances

It’s hard to believe we’re almost 10 days into January 2025.  With the holiday season behind us and the prospects of a new, exciting year in front of us, we wanted to share two January observances that are important to the team at Mighty Crow.  The first month of the year marks Mental Wellness Month as well as Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month;  one is a recognition of the impact that emotional health has on our overall wellbeing, while the second creates awareness of the struggles, stigma, and options for those seeking and offering treatment for substance use disorder. The two are distinct, month-long observances, but there is a large overlap in their end goals, each looking to improve the overall wellbeing of individuals.

A lot of the work we do at Mighty Crow, along with our company’s cultural make-up, works toward these same goals. Mighty Crow’s internal wellness program for employees has a large emphasis on the mental components of overall wellness, including flexible work schedules, reimbursement for personal wellness expenses, and a supportive work environment designed to reduce stress and promote collaboration. Relatedly, Mighty Crow was recognized as a Ohio Recovery Friendly Workplace in 2024, and many our clients offer direct substance use disorder treatment or services that support individual recovery.

For the remaining Tuesdays in January, we’ll be sharing some of SAMSHA’s Substance Use Disorder Treatment month tools via our social media channels. Their toolkit features ways to raise awareness of the treatments available for substance abuse disorder, and we’re proud to help spread that awareness.

On Wednesdays for the rest of January, we’ll share some tools, tips and ideas from the Mighty Crow team for increasing mental wellness for yourself and others.

We look forward sharing for the rest of the month, and hope you find the information useful!
