Project Description: Portage Path Behavioral Health (PPBH) in Akron, Ohio held Strategic Plan Retreats in both 2018 and again in 2022 led by Mighty Crow. In these sessions we used various tools to help measure and discuss the long-term direction of the organization.  This involved analyzing the current internal and external environment, formulating a vision and mission, setting strategic objectives, and developing action plans to implement the strategy. The Strategic Plan developed during these convenings, provided the informed guidance needed to best allocate its resources to achieve their desired goals and provided them with a roadmap for the future, enabling them to anticipate challenges, seize opportunities, and align their activities toward achieving sustainable success. Achievements under the 2018 plan included Portage Path receiving their first Federal grant award from SAMSHSA and hosting their first fundraiser resulting in $350,000. Successful completion of all objectives in the 2018 led to reconvening in 2022.
