Recent Projects
Dr. Hammond provides teaching and training to organizations across the state of Ohio, as well as on the national stage. Topics include: Motivational Interviewing, Tobacco Dependence Treatment, Addressing Trauma, Trauma-Informed Care, Group Counseling Skills for Substance Use Disorders, Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma, and Grant Writing and Evaluation. Dr. Hammond’s recognitions include:

Tobacco Treatment Specialist Certification Course
MCM works with The Breathing Association to administer the Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist Course (CTTS) multiple times each year. The CTTS course is Ohio’s only nationally certified TTS programs, and one of only a few nationally certified programs across the United States. Dr. Hammond serves as co-faculty, teaching sessions on Motivational Interviewing, Intake and Assessment, Treatment Planning, Group Counseling, and Relapse Prevention. MCM works with TBA to secure continuing education units (CEUs) for disciplines including social work, nursing, and chemical dependency counseling. MCM ensures that participants submit all required documentation, receive the course materials, and complete the course evaluations. MCM worked with The Breathing Association on the national certification process and works to maintain the high standards set forth by the national certification body.
